New members of the CommSec team

As part of our ongoing growth, we are delighted to welcome two new members to the CommSec team.

 

Terry Slattery – Head of Penetration Testing Services

Terry joins CommSec to lead the company’s Penetration Testing business. An industry veteran with 20 years’ experience, Terry has previously held software engineering, and cyber security consultant and management roles in Grant Thornton, BCC Risk Advisory / Edgescan and CIE. Terry is leading the growth and development of the CommSec Penetration Testing services.

Terry has participated in numerous Penetration tests for many global financial institutes and global technology enterprises, in the financial market as well as the technology sector.  Penetration testing skills include web application, mobile, web-service, network assessments in addition to security code reviews.

Terry was responsible for the design of secure coding guidelines for clients across a broad range of sectors. Participated in numerous Penetration tests for many global financial institutes and global technology enterprises. Has conducted internal and external penetration tests of Fortune 500 companies in the global financial market as well as the technology sector.

Terry graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science. He also studied in the Dublin Institute of Technology on the MSc in Security & Forensic Computing.

Gary Walsh – Business Development Executive

Gary has recently joined CommSec as Business Development Executive. He is an experienced Cyber security specialist with over eight years of proven background in business development and account management, in Ireland and Australia. Gary is focused on new business development for the CheckScan+ service of CommSec.

CheckScan+ is a new managed vulnerability scanning service from CommSec, launched in 2020, designed to enable customers of all sizes to have the benefits of continuous automated vulnerability scanning, but delivered as a managed service.

Prior to joining CommSec, Gary has held sales roles with BSI and Astia.

A member of the Chartered Institute for IT, Gary holds a IBAT Diploma in Cyber and Digital Security and a Certificate in Information Security Management Principles.
