Aim of Programme This course has been designed specifically with the needs of non technical business unit managers in mind. Everyone in management needs to understand the basics of Cyber Security and how to protect their business. The aim of this course is to recognise that attacks are ‘business as usual’ and to be expected. Its designed to reduce fear of blame and shame and to promote a culture that enables employees to report suspicious content. This course has been designed to de-mystify the world of IT / Cyber security and present the topic in easy to understand, jargon free language. As a business owner or unit manager, you have responsibility to ensure you are taking all reasonable steps to protect the business and its data. This course will give you a clear picture of the threats out there – as well as the tools and processes needed to stay secure.
Expected Outcomes On completion, participants will:
  • Understand the threat landscape.
  • Know the importance of good computer habits, at work, at home and on the move.
  • Acquire knowledge about safer web browsing.
  • Increase their awareness of email-borne threats.
  • Know the importance of strong passwords and two factor authentication (2FA)
  • Understand how to report suspicious content.

Who Should Attend? Anyone who is responsible for business unit management and business owners across any sector.
Delivery Method Interactive classroom training, with supporting large screen PowerPoint presentation. Each participant will receive a take away pack of summary notes to keep for further reference.
Group Size Maximum 15 participants.
Duration This course is delivered over a half day (3 hours class time).
